AC Powered Gateway (Silvair) (06298)
The Silvair Gateway connects Bluetooth Mesh networks commissioned with Silvair Commissioning tools to the Silvair cloud. This connection enables scheduled lighting events and supports cloud-based services using information generated by the connected lighting network.
Gateway scheduling is available by default and can schedule changes to scenes and lighting-control scenarios, including occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting. Additional paid services can provide energy and occupancy monitoring, remote device monitoring and control, and emergency-lighting test-result monitoring.
A single gateway can handle approximately 200 Bluetooth Mesh devices and process approximately 450 network messages per second. It supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, while selected Cascade-500-W and Cascade-500-X versions also support 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G/3G connectivity.
The gateway uses secure boot, an encrypted operating system, TLS communication with the Silvair cloud, and qualified Bluetooth Mesh communication with connected devices. It also supports automatic security updates, firmware updates, schedule caching, system diagnostics, and performance metrics through the Silvair web app.
